I recently took a trip down to San Antonio with my wife, Bonnie, for her Birthday. One of the things on her list was to visit "The McNay"--an art museum in the former 24-room Spanish Colonial-Revival home of heiress Marion McNay. If you ever find yourself in San Antonio this place is a must-see for the architecture and grounds alone. Her 700 piece art collection left to San Antonio wasn't bad either. The collection includes Rivera, Picasso, Monet, Cezanne, Kirchner, Dufy, and the list goes on.

The Art Institute Austin Faculty Painting Show
Luck of the Draw! YMCA Art Fundraiser

If you are from the Jackson, MS area and interested in collecting artwork + helping out local youth development, drop by the "Luck of the Draw" fundraiser at the auditorium at Duling School. The drawing works like this:
-Contribute $100, so your name is put in the drawing
-The Master of Ceremonies will draw names, the name he draws first gets their pick of the artwork on the wall and so on.
-All artwork is anonymous (signatures on the back).
If you have more questions about the event and how to get tickets call the YMCA at 601.709.3760
